Exhibitions Manager and Curator
As the Exhibitions Project Coordinator at ACMI, I manage the development, production and installation of temporary exhibitions as well as the maintenance and section changeovers in the permanent exhibition. I coordinate multiple stakeholders from curatorial, registration, AV, collections, visitor experience and senior leadership teams, as well as managing budgets and schedules across concurrent projects. ACMI has provided me with valuable experience in the development and presentation of a broad range of screen-based media, interactive and AV content.
Since 2022 I have project managed the following exhibitions:
Honk! Untitled Goose Exhibition
This colourful, fun and interactive exhibition gives insight into the creative development of the highly popular video game Untitled Goose Game, by developers House House. Alongside displays of previously unseen concept art, sketches and design material, the show also includes three playable versions of the game from its early development, exhibited publicly for the first time.
This exhibition featured a three-channel work produced in house by First Nations curator Jenna Warwick. The film juxtaposes archival government films, iconic Australian road movies and newly captured footage of the Aboriginal motorcycle club, The Southern Warriors.
Stanislava Pinchuk The Theatre of War
Pinchuk was the recipient of the inaugural $80,000 Mordant Family Moving Image Commission for young artists. The resulting three-channel film captures footage from various sites across Europe to explore the resonance of Homer's The Iliad in present day warfare.
Angela Tiatia The Dark Current
This exhibition featured a newly commissioned film work. Spanning three years and filmed in four countries, the work is the artist's most ambitious project to date.
The Story of the Moving Image, Costume Box, The Dressmaker
Created in consultation with The Dressmaker’s producer Sue Maslin, this display featured costumes designed by Marion Boyce and Margot Wilson, original design sketches and fabric swatches, accessories, photographs and clips from the film. I selected the costumes and managed their loan from the National Film and Sound Archive. I managed the exhibition design, all licensing agreements and installation logistics.
Sally M Nangala Mulda and Marlene Rubuntja Two Girls from Amoonguna
The third Artbank + ACMI Commission, this exhibition included soft sculpture and paintings, alongside an animated film titled Arrkutja Tharra, Kungka Kutjara, Two Girls, produced by Ludo Studios.
